Kirby with parasol

Here’s Kirby, known for his work in such games as Kirby’s Dreamland and Kirby: Power Paintbrush. Happens to be one of my favorite video game series. LunarCrisis has been doing a bunch of Kirby sketches on his blog, so I figured I have to do one too. Here’s my reference. Today’s sketch is brought to you in full color. ^__^
Gradius

Today, two sketches. They’re related though. The first one, on the left, is a moai head. I decided that alone would be too simple, so as a bonus, on the right, Vic Viper 2, the ship from Gradius 2. Picking them was inspired by watching Andrés Delikat’s tool-assisted speedrun of Gradius.
I’m pretty happy with both of these. The ship lacks a bunch of little details, but it looks pretty decent anyways.
A treasure hunter

So, I got a new game in the mail today, and I figured it’d be a nice idea to sketch from a drawn reference for a change, so I drew a picture of the main character, Henry Hatsworth, as seen in the cover art. I think it turned out pretty nicely. There are some minor mistakes, like that the monocle and the teacup are too small, but I think it’s still a very recognizable rendition of Henry. The game’s lots of fun, by the way. Played through the first world so far.
